Position Overview: This hospital is searching for a skilled Acute Mental Health Registered Nurse who will be a valuable asset to the mental health team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive mental health care within a hospital setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities: The Acute Mental Health Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Conducting assessments, devising care plans, implementing them, and evaluating the care provided to mental health patients.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to formulate tailored care strategies.
- Administering medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders.
- Continuously monitoring the mental health status of patients and promptly addressing any changes.
- Providing patient and family education and support.
- Ensuring strict compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Preferred previous experience in acute mental health nursing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Proficient problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Dedication to patient-centered care.
- You Must have full working rights in Australia to be selected as no sponsorship is available
