We’re partnering with a well-established steel fabrication company in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, and they’re on the lookout for a skilled Boilermaker to join their growing team.
About the Role:
This is a workshop-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication, interpreting technical drawings, and working with a team of experienced tradespeople. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive environment where your skills and input are highly valued.
What you’ll be doing:
- Fabrication and welding of structural steel components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Using MIG and Flux Core welding techniques
- Operating workshop equipment including grinders, drills, and cutting torches
- Assisting with the assembly and fitting of components
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and quality at all times
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) or similar
- Previous experience in structural or heavy fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG/FCAW welding
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current forklift license (desirable)
